What I did? Before retirement taught in several Christian schools and worked in a group home with Communitas Supportive Care Society.

Wisdom or bit of advice: Life is preparation for eternity-Rick Warren – Matthew 6:19-21.

Spouse: Alice and I have been married for 45 years.

Children: Colin, Craig and Chris.

Education: Bachelor of Education, U.B.C, Diploma of Special Education, U.B.C, Diploma of Christian Studies, Regent College.

How I got involved with Northview: It was the first church we attended when we moved from North Delta 20 years ago. We are glad that we have been here since then.

Hope and Vision for Northview: We increasingly be a church that makes prayer a priority, is solidly anchored in the Word of God, deeply cares for the varied needs of our people and is dependent on the Lord for His direction.

A few of my favourite things: Reading, listening to music, meeting for breakfast with friends and family, vacationing with Alice.

Authors that have most shaped my thinking and impacted my life: C.S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, Neil Anderson, Larry Crabb, John Townsend, Randy Alcorn and Dallas Willard.

Music: Except for rap and heavy rock, I enjoy many kinds of music, especially Contemporary Christian.

Favourite quote: If what I believe is not according to truth, then what I feel is not according to reality – Neil Anderson.

Hometown: Lived in Leyland and Morecombe, Lancashire, England until we emigrated to Canada at age 11.
