Want a Northview Pastor to marry you?
It is the practice of Northview Pastors to officiate at weddings of couples who share the same Christian faith commitment, and who are Official Members of our church. (Have gone through the membership class and interview process.) If this is not your situation or beliefs, and you would like to discuss this further, please contact the church.
If you would like to have one of the Northview Pastors officiate at your wedding click this link here: Wedding Officiator Request Please fill out this request as early as possible to allow enough time to process your request before your wedding date. Please note that we will attempt to accommodate your request to the best of our abilities. However we cannot guarantee that a Pastor will be available on a specific date. Certain dates such as long weekends in the summer and over holiday periods (i.e. Christmas, New Years) will be particularly difficult.
In order to be married by a Northview Pastor, engaged couples must complete a Northview pre-marriage course or pre-marriage counselling with a Christian counsellor (upon approval), and be a member of Northview Church.
Wedding Costs:
- $250 for weddings in the Abbotsford & Mission area
- $300 or more for weddings outside Abbotsford & Mission (depending on location). Travel expenses are extra.

Below are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
What if these dates don’t work for us?
If you are unable to attend the scheduled courses contact the care administrator at ddyck@northview.org We will work with you to find alternate pre-marriage counselling.
If we do not attend Northview OR if we are being married by another Pastor outside of Northview, could we still take the pre-marriage classes?
Yes – you are welcome to attend. Ideally, we would prefer couples to take pre-marriage classes at the church where they will be attending after they are married. However, we recognize that not all churches offer pre-marriage training or their course dates may not work for you as a couple.
What can I expect from the pre-marriage classes?
Classes are a mix of large group teaching mixed with discussion around tables. Material will be strongly Biblically based and practical for everyday life.

How do I arrange for a Northview Pastor to officiate at our wedding?

Our Pastors will not be able to confirm their role until he or she has an initial meeting with the couple. In the qualifying session, you should expect the Pastor to ask you about your Christian faith and the nature of your relationship.
