WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT

Doors are always open early, so feel free to come early for a cup of coffee or tea. We encourage you to find us in the lobby on a Sunday for answers to questions and to find out ways to connect.

We have a pretty straightforward purpose: we want to grow deeper in our love for God, warmer in our love for each other and wider in our love for our world. We’re contemporary, but we value tradition. We’re casual, but not about our faith. We value personal study and application of God’s word to life and presenting the Gospel clearly and creatively. Our goal is to see people personally and passionately follow Christ.

Things For Kids On Weekends

Nursery

Our nursery is for babies and toddlers from 6 months – 24 months. Check-in begins 30 minutes before services start. It is open during the Saturday night and Sunday morning services, and during select special events. The nursery is located in the East Wing of the Northview building on the main floor.

Your child is a beautiful gift from God and we are here to care for and love your baby or toddler. We also are excited to help introduce your child to their Creator through play, songs, and stories. For further information contact the Director of Nursery and Preschool Ministries, Melissa Bargen, at mbargen@northview.org

PreSchool

The Preschool is for children aged 2 – 4 years and located in the East Wing on the main floor. Check-in begins 30 minutes before services start. Each week your child will be welcomed by a caring and compassionate teachers and helpers. Your child will participate in singing, hear the Bible story be creatively taught, and enjoy visits by special puppet friends. Then it’s back to the classroom for prayer groups, Bible verse memorization, activity time, and craft. The activities relate directly to the Bible story and allow the teacher to re-tell and reinforce the Bible lesson. Prayer groups will allow your child to be personally prayed for each and every week they come. For further information contact the Director of Nursery and Preschool Ministries, Melissa Bargen, at mbargen@northview.org

Grade School: Kindergarten – Gr. 5

The Grade School ministries are for children in Kindergarten through Gr. 5. Registration opens 20 mins before each service in the East Wing of the Northview building. At each service, programs start in Lower Court, located in the basement of the East Wing, for a time of worship at the start of each service. Children are then divided by Grade to meet in their own classrooms for age-appropriate Bible lessons: Kindergarten – Gr. 3 children go to upstairs classrooms, and Gr. 4s and 5s stay in Lower Court and go to the downstairs classrooms. While in class, children enjoy a time of activities, Bible study, and prayer, getting taught the Word of God using the Gospel Project curriculum.

Kindergarten – Gr. 3 pickup is in the upstairs classrooms, Grades 4 & 5 pick up is in Lower Court and the classrooms behind it.
