Bible Tools 1: First Principles
There is great responsibility associated with teaching and leading others in the study of God’s word. Our goal is to make sure that each leader is equipped to be “a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 ESV). Leaders play a key role in directing people to scripture to answer questions during Bible study, to guide them to truth, and, in some cases, to counsel and bring comfort. We want to provide you with the tools you need to rightly handle God’s word.
In Bible Study Tools 1: First Principles we will be teaching fundamental principles for studying and teaching the Bible. How do you approach the text? How do you make sure you are not adding to or taking away from what a passage is saying? What things should you consider about the context of the passage and your own biases as you read? During our 4 week training session, we’ll be answering these questions and more.
Dates: Wednesdays, May 22 – June 12
Times: 9:00am-10:30am OR 7:00pm-8:30pm
*Both times will have the same content and teaching, we are simply offering 2 times options to choose from.
