Exodus tells the story of God revealing Himself to His people, rescuing them from slavery, teaching them how to live and how to worship.  The physical rescue of the nation of Israel from Egypt is used as a metaphor by New Testament authors, who reflect on how God ultimately rescues his people from slavery to sin by defeating the powers and authorities of this world. Join us to learn the lessons of this Old Testament book, and to understand how it points forward to Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

You are welcome to attend if you have never opened a Bible before, or if you are a seasoned studier. Some of our participants are still trying to figure out if they believe the claims of Jesus and want to follow him, while others have been Christians for many years.  Everyone is welcome!

Each weekly session typically includes worship through song, 25 minutes of homework review, 25 minutes of working through additional study material at your tables, 25 minutes of large group teaching, and a final discussion on how to apply and pray in light of the teaching of each Biblical passage.  You will be guided through the discussion materials by trained table leaders, and learn and in community with other women.  This study is a great opportunity to grow in your faith and get to know others, something which is often challenging in a big church like Northview.
