There is no fence setting, it was a global flood, there is way more evidence for a global flood, and yes there have always been local floods, because the earth is cursed after the fall… I’m totally not on the fence about this, I studied it for over a year in this past year and am 100% plus, as a former atheist, evolutionist myself am totally convinced of a global flood… Evidence points to a global flood… Biblical evidence points to a global flood, Jesus refers to it so did the early church… The lines on the rocks are glacier made that happened after the flood…
You must also remember the earth was not in the shape it is in today… Both evolutionists and creationists believe believe that the earth reformed… Evolutionists over billions of years, creationists says it happened suddenly… The mountains prior to the flood didn’t have the elevation as they did after the flood and the mid Atlantic rift happened separating the continents, also pushing up the mountains… It was during this reshaping that gave the water the opportunity to recede and run back in to the depth, as the oceans deepened during the rift and the mountains rose as the continents reformed… As far as context I get it… though the persons writing may have been regional in mind and reason, since they didn’t have global travel, God however is not stuck to a region… When God’s context is local I get it… But when God is apply global in context though the authors were regional I get it, just like when Jesus returns the authors had Israel in mind yet we know he’s coming for the people globally… To me it is totally clear on a total flood… I would challenge all of you guys on the flood issue and do take the time to do the research… So many scientists who were non-christian evolutionists who are now Christians after have spent years in the field who now total convinced of a global flood… I think a global flood is a matter of biblical orthodoxy… Because God said it was so… I’ll trust him on mans reason any day, thanks guys for the post, but I think your scientific arguments were weak…
God bless
Abraham
If my comments seem broken it’s because I’m writing while your talking on the pod cast… the issue with not believing global, you have to believe in an old earth and an old earth view holds to evolution, it has to, you can’t have it both ways…
The fossil finds are one or the other… with this view I have had jaw dropping moments, I’ve had discussion with some on your worship team believe we came from and ape like hominid… which is totally bogus… I pray for this man and pray God will open the eyes, for we were perfectly created as humans right from the onset…
I believe a weak stand on creation and the global flood leaves one in a weak situation to boldly explain other biblical Truths… If the bible isn’t clear on creation why would I trust the Word that it is actually clear about heaven and the coming life after death… God bless…
I’m sorry, but I think your comments regarding the flood were about as lame and weak as talking about Costco t-shirts, you held no water in your arguments… no pun intended… I’m bold in my statement because I think God is very bold, precise and clear in His Word… And I’m challenging yu-all to study it, it’s part of His Word and as leaders and Pastors you aught to be bold about it… We’re claiming His Truth and Word… Evolution has been a detriment to our time as no other teaching has been for it crosses, ethical, biblical, political, educational boundaries like non-other… School are mandated to teach evolution, so in light of that for over 100 years 90% of students walk out of grade 12 convinced of evolution… do you not suppose Satan was wise when he had Darwin craft the concept of Evolution as he Had Mohamed craft Islam and the Koran…
Exodus from the Church is largely due to this issue, for most adults can’t punch there way out of a wet paper bag when the son comes home in grade 9 and says we came from an ape like being… Shame on us for losing this generation over his very issue…
Romans 1:21-23
21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Wisdom of man has always and will always marginalize God, Did God really say…? right from the beginning, just a small twist of lie and then over the ages it grows in full blown theory and doctrine and billions of people will follow, just look at Islam… Evolution isn’t any different… it’s just putting a bit of a twist on it… till is seems real to most…
This isn’t just about Ken Ham, but hundreds of PH Scientists, former atheist, etc, and thousands of documents to help inform the avid researcher, with links to so much more, and consider biblical reasoning when looking at the scientific aspect of creation and the flood…

Sorry guys, but this podcast just opened up a door in my year long study in regards to this topic, creation and the flood… investing sometimes 4 hours a day to reading and researching hundreds and hundreds of documents, if not thousands…
I totally get it that man can reason and convince others to believe and follow… Argument: There are some in the church because a person was convincing enough to them for them to come and investigate though they may not be true worshipers and followers of Jesus but some would claim they are Christian, even though them may not yet born again, however the christian argument seems convincing though the Spirit of Truth has not yet registerd… Why would I say that, is because that was me for a long time… In the same way evolution can seem convincingly true even though it’s contrary to God’s Word, yet many believe it for human reason has convinced them… So very much scientific reasoning has convinced them…
Let me give you a list of debunked theories that just 5,10 years ago were top arguments in debates, the argue proved they were right, regarding the flood and evolution, while today just a few short years later, have all been debunked with logic and truth and revealing often fraudulent reports made up to substantiate their claims…

It looks like I’m the only global flood proponent here, but that’s okay, as I share the gospel with people in the work place I find myself alone a lot, well, not entirely, Jesus is there as I fumble with the message telling a client about Jesus as I install a two way radio into his truck…
I don’t mind standing alone with God’s Word in hand to say, sorry guys, it was a global flood… I’ll stick to the Word over mans reason any day…
About a 5 hour drive from here you can find Burgess Shale Sea Fossils about 4000′ up on a mountain… mmmmm wonder how they got there, eh? Also interesting, these sea fossils are found high on mountain ridges around the world… Questiion… What is 1 evidence one should find if there was a global flood…?

Here’s another short clip for the skeptic who thinks the flood was regional… It’s worth noting, just because context of the “whole world” sometimes meant the middle east, or the known world, it doesn’t always apply…

Everyone assumes that the continents looked much the same during the time of Adam up Noah’s day as it does today or even after the global flood, but not so, take a look at this clip…. Evolutionists and Creationist bot insist the continents divided, the question is when…?

Everyone has an opinion, but when I came to faith in Christ and believed in the one God his clear word takes precedence… Opinions muddle clear teaching… Because this very topic is an important issue, I’ve spent a lot of time reading and studying this issue over the past few years… It surprised me when people, ie, Christians say, what does it matter, when 75% of youth and young adults walk away fro the church related to these topics…
This particular topic is actually a huge reason why so many walk away from the faith and the church, (some stats say as high as 75%, we should be horrified, what are we doing wrong, teaching evolution as some churches do, isn’t an option) when they hit high school and university… So I believe the church should address this very important topic… I don’t think we should be sweeping this under the carpet because some haven’t studied this a lot or have a faint understanding… There is so much information available today and as Christians we can make strong biblical arguments when challenged with world views… I had this conversation with a young university grad at NV just a year ago who said he almost walked away from his faith when challenged in his geology university degree, and my comments to him on this topic helped and encouraged him work through some difficult mindsets… As a former atheists and evolutionist, I have a strong stand on this very important Biblical topic, God’s opening topic of life… It blows me away, that we could have a worship leader at NV who believes humans evolved along with apes from a common species… I believe this is a lie from Satan, in the same way when he whispered to Eve, did God really say…? I’m just one of those guys who’s going to challenge my pastors when I think they’re weak on this important topic… I don’t take everything at face value, in the same way I don’t take a public or university teaching as truth… I believe, a literal 6-day creation and a day of rest, the creation of a literal Adam and Eve, not evolution over billions of years, and I believe in a literal Noah’s, Total Global Flood, the bible is clear on this. It only gets distorted when we adlib and infer other concepts into the Word… Clear scientific evidence reveals a Global Flood, and because God was there, I tend to believe Him over secular scientists and Christians who have bought into the deception…
God bless…
Abraham…
ps… there are somethings worth standing up for… If creation, and the global flood didn’t happen why did any of the other events happen, the parting of the sea, Jonah in the whale, and fast forward, death and resurrection and the soon return of Jesus… If we use scientific explanations alone for all of these events, we have no faith but a scientific view… An I absolutely don’t agree with a blind faith…
A must watch… serious… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZrxogY9Pnc
This is not up for debate at all gentlemen, it was global
“And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.”
(Genesis 7:19-20 KJV)
If I may, post a very well written and exercised statement in regards to God’s Creative Eden… (It seems I am the only one interested in this topic… The reason I am is because I believe the Gospel is Hinged on Creation, for if it was not created why would one worry about the master piece…
Approaching Eden
Does the book of Genesis exhilarate you? Do you find within its chapters a mind-easing peace that silences the buzzing voices of men? Genesis is exactly as it stands––our planet and our kind’s genesis––our beginning. At this very moment men sit in laboratories across the earth spending millions of dollars trying to understand where their earth and men came from. Is it not unique that you can open up the Bible and find the very answer they are searching for? The implications of such knowledge leading to such incredible groundbreaking conclusions should exhilarate us, catching our hearts aflame in such wonderful truth! But… it’s not that simple is it? Although Genesis should surprise us with revitalized hope in the Creator, it often has the opposite effect. Is it a lack of faith in the words found there? Do we find it to be incomprehensible? Or do we find it to be too simple of an explanation? The mystery of existence, as simple as it might be, plagues the human frame – tricking many into thinking that they must find a much more complicated formula to solve its problem, while many others can bask in the rays of a simple sun that was formed by the hands of a Being much more capable than the men in white lab coats.
In the first pillar we tackled a good section of Scripture defining the creational nature of the good news in the Bible. Everything we will discuss hereafter is built upon the immoveable foundation of Genesis 1-3 as not only being literal but also God-breathed. Despite skepticism, we must lay this foundation and stand upon it confidently so that our interpretation of Scripture doesn’t waver after Genesis. If we do not establish a plumb line of interpreting Scripture here, would not everything thereafter be ambiguous and open to interpretation instead of being consistently understood at face value? We therefore hold to the literal interpretation of Genesis so that the Bible can make its own sense thereafter. It can be trusted to mean what it says, so to speak.
When approaching Genesis I often find that many Christians have become desensitized and apathetic about the unique Edenic beginning. An accumulation of thousands of pieces of science and literature heralded from the strength and wisdom of men in our modern era has forced the creation account in our Bible to become stigmatized and held in question. Today, it is culturally cool and relevant to be skeptical about the reality of Genesis 1-3. Many modern teachers treat it as creative poetry and beautiful allegory, but not as a true and literal account of the origins of existence. As believers we reject this nonsense and firmly adhere to the story of The Garden of Eden no matter how far fetched it sounds to our so called “modern” minds. The mind of Adam was not created modern––It was created pure. Let that sink in.
Writing off the words of Genesis as creative allegory is a travesty to the God who has gone to such great lengths to tell us how and why we exist. What great betrayal to take His words and make them friendly fantasy! We should consider it the mercy of God that He would explain the very existence we reside within and make it accessible in a book that we can read at any time we desire. If need be, take the time now to stop and repent of self-entitlement and of the idea that we deserve more than this. To have a heart aligned with thankfulness for His precious words and an explanation of existence in Genesis is to give Him deserving honor, and a praiseworthy person will do so.
Faith in the words of the Bible is what separates believers from unbelievers.
~ Stephan Holmes ( A Bible Student and Missionary to the Jews)
More Biblical reason to have a strong foundation on Genesis, the early church did… If you’re foundation is weak the structure above is always under criticism, duress and stress followed by crippling arguments and truths…
2 Peter 2:5
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
New Defender’s Study Bible Notes
2 Peter 2:5
2:5 eighth person, a preacher. Following the sin of the angels, the Lord had also to judge the corrupt world of ungodly men and women, so hopelessly committed to wickedness that no hope of repentance remained. The patriarchal line from Adam had consisted of seven men who were the primary “preachers of righteousness” in their respective generations. These were, in order: Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, and Methuselah. Enoch is not included since he was translated into heaven while Jared was still serving in this capacity. Similarly, Lamech is not included, because he died before his father Methuselah. This left Noah to serve as the “eighth preacher of righteousness,” but none but his own family heeded his warnings of coming judgment, and the “world of the ungodly” died in the Flood.
2 Peter 2:5
2:5 the flood. “Flood” here is kataklusmos in the Greek. Occurring only four times, it is not the word used for any ordinary flood, but always in reference to the great Flood in the days of Noah (Genesis 6–9). The latter was unique, being worldwide and globally destructive, inundating the entire world (Greek kosmos) in its purging waters, and sparing only the four men and their wives in the ark. Lesser floods invariably are mentioned by a different Greek word.
2 Peter 2:6
2:6 overthrow. The “overthrow” of the unspeakably wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, with their “filthy conversation” (II Peter 2:7) and their rampant “sodomy” was not worldwide but regional, evidently involving a great earthquake and volcanic eruptions (Genesis 19). The Greek for “overthrow” is katastrophe, rather than kataklusmos, for the one was local, the other global. From these words, we obviously derive our words “catastrophe” and “catastrophism” on the one hand, and “cataclysm” on the other. There has been only one cataclysm so far in world history, but many catastrophes. See also notes on II Peter 3:3-10.
