What I do: Senior Speciality Lines Specialist – Wawanesa Insurance. I am part of a team “building out” the commercial lines space of Wawanesa including mentoring/training of underwriters and business development representatives.

Spouse: Janice (since 1999)

Children: Lauren (2004) & Jack (2006)

Education: Way too many years of night courses involving insurance, one year at Columbia Bible College (CBC) and a Diploma in Computer Analyst Programming from Red River Community College in Winnipeg.

Hope and vision for Northview: An inhouse Artigiano (coffee house from Vancouver)

How I got involved with Northview: After flying in from Manitoba to attend a Roaring Twenties retreat at Malibu in 1994, I took a job transfer to Vancouver and have been attending ever since.

A few of my favourite things: Motorcycles, gardening/landscaping, farmer sausage (Rempel’s is ok but Pioneer from Manitoba rules) and hangin’ with the family.

Favourite Verse:Joshua 24:15 (Our wedding text) “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Favourite author: John Grisham, Donald Miller and anybody that mocks my Mennonites (I am one, so I can say this).

Favourite understatement: Kids are a handful.

Favourite kind of music: Third Day & Blue Rodeo and most anything from the 70’s.

Hometown: Altona, Manitoba (the Sunflower Capital of Canada).
