What I do: Director of Supply Chain for Northwest Rubber Ltd. in Abbotsford.

Wisdom or bit of advice: The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again expecting different results.

Spouse: Monica. We met as students at the University of Guelph in Ontario. Monica was working on a BA in Music/Art/Geography and I was working on my MSc in Animal Science. Our classes were far apart on the campus so we might not have met each other if it weren’t for the Campus Crusade for Christ meetings we attended. We married in 1993.

Children: Daughter, Becca (1997), loves to sing, write, and perform. Son, Joshua (2002) loves to run and play sports of all kinds. He is very hard to catch.

Education: B.Sc. Animal Nutrition from the University of Alberta in 1990, M.Sc. Animal Science from the University of Guelph in 1993.

Hope and Vision for Northview:
I’ve served on the men’s commission and in marriage ministries since 2002 so that is where my heart is at. I’d like Northview to be a place where men are challenged to grow in their intimacy with both God and their spouse.

How I got involved with Northview: Monica and I moved to Abbotsford in 1998 and started attending Northview thanks to an invite from a work colleague. Over the years we’ve served as leaders of life groups/pastorates and been active in men’s, women’s and marriage ministries.

A few of my favorite things:
I enjoy watching my children perform and compete. I enjoy running and a challenging board game. Cheering for the Edmonton Oilers!

Favourite preacher: John MacArthur, Ravi Zacharias. I feel immensely privileged to have the opportunity to grow under the direction of Jeff, Ezra and the Northview pastors.

Favourite author: Tolkien, CS Lewis, Jerry Bridges

Favourite kind of music:
I like all kinds of music from Country to Classical to Contemporary Christian but I’m a product of the 80’s so I don’t mind a little synth and a good guitar riff now and then.

Favourite quote: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily l entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

Hometown: Born in Edmonton, I grew up on a ranch near Valleyview, Alberta.
