Your discussion on the age of accountability, ability, and opportunity is a very simplistic approach to human choice. It is anathema for most of us to think that God would send a child to eternal damnation. The age of accountability is a way to deal with the internal revulsion we feel about God doing something that no human with any degree of love or compassion would consider. We then are equally uncomfortable with special needs people being damned forever and so make another accommodation. And then we stop – without understanding that ability is not just related to age or intellectual ability; it is equally related to emotional and cultural factors that limit what a person can choose. Just as none of you could emotionally or intellectually chose to become a Mormon, the same is true of the reverse occurring in most cases. I know the apologetic arguments you will raise to defend your position, but trust me, the scientific community for the most part finds your arguments illogical and inhuman.
